After my divorce I came to France looking to recover and find a new life. After taking some night photos in Lyon I dragged my gear into a café to stop and have a glass. Steph and her boyfriend were nice enough to include me in their conversation and welcomed me to their circle of friends. They invited me to join them for dinner. When I returned a few months later they helped me with housing, learning the culture, and working my way to the inside. There’s no way I could have done it without the help of these open and loving people. Steph loves meeting new people because she says “it’s like traveling without having to leave home.”
